ANESTHESIOLOGY
Anesthesiologists maintain the highest standards of practice as they assess, consult and prepare patients for anesthesia. They administer anestheic drugs to provide insensibility to pain during surgical, obstetric, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Diagnosis and treatment of painful syndromes are included in the anesthesiologist's Practice at the pain management clinic.

Dr. McLean is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and earned his MD degree at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama in June 1988. He completed an Internal Medical Internship and Residency training at the University of South Alabama, 1988-1990. His Anesthesiology Residency Program was also completed at the University of South Alabama, 1990-1993, where he served as Chief Resident. Family practitioners provide continuous, comprehensive care to all members of a family, both adults and children. GASTROENTEROLOGY
Gastroenterologists study disease and pathology of the stomach and intestines. They have expert endoscopy training and specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, pancreas, liver, or biliary system.



GENERAL SURGERY
General surgeons have a broad understanding of diseases, injuries, and deformities that can be corrected or alleviated through surgery. They are trained in surgery of the digestive tract, abdominal conditions, breast, head, and neck, blood vessel system, and hormone system. Their surgical methods are not limited to any special organ system or body region. General surgeons often intervene following traumatic injuries such as thosse sustained in an accident or disaster.

ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY
Orthopaedic surgeons specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of injuries to and diseases of the bones and joints. They use medical, surgical, and physical methods to treat patients with problems in the functioning of the musculoskeletal system. The most common conditions they treat are broken bones, sprains, strains, birth defects, rheumatoid arthritis, back diseases, and injuries. Orthopaedic surgeons also implant prostheses (artificial joints, limbs, etc.) To replace those damaged by illness or injury.

OTOLARYNGOLOGY
Otolaryngologists are commonly called ENT specialists, or Ear, Nose, and Throat physicians. They medically and surgically treat patients with diseases of the head and neck, and of the special sense organs other than the eye and brain. Their practice encompasses treatment of the ear, nose, and throat related conditions in both adults and children, ranging from ear infections to head and neck cancer. Head and neck surgery, facial plastic and tumor surgery, bronchoesophagology and allergy treatment are also included with this profession. If the ENT physician determines your problem is allergy-related, subsequent treatment may range from allergy medication to antibody analysis and desensitization infections.

Dr. Chadburn specializes in total care of the foot and ankle. He served five years in the U.S. Air Force, reciving the National Defense Service Medal among other ribbons and awards. Dr. Chadburn then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Biochemistry. After graduation, he worked as an Analytical Chemist providing method development and validation for the pharmaceutical industry. He also spent time at the UNC-CH department of Pharmacology developing novel analytical equipment, protocols, and publishing reasearch related to cystic fibrosis. Dr. Chadburn earned the degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the University of Des Moines Osteopathic Medical Center. He went on to complete the surgical residency at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metrairie, Louisianna. He is extensively trained in both conservative and surgical treatment of the foot and ankle. He is Board Qualified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.


RADIOLOGY
Diagnostic radiologists interpret x-rays and other images of the patient's internal structures. The physician uses such tools as radiography, fluoroscopy, xeromammography, ultrasound, tomography and computerized tomography (CT scanning), and magnetic resonance imaging to aid physicians and surgeons in making accurate diagnoses.
