New Orthopedic Surgeon Joins Crockett Hospital

Lawrenceburg, Tenn. – Orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Gary D. Rubin has joined the medical staff of Crockett Hospital. His office is located at 1323 South Locust Avenue in Lawrenceburg.
“I am very excited that Dr. Gary Rubin will soon be relocating to Lawrenceburg to start his orthopedic practice. He will be a tremendous asset to our medical staff and community. Dr. Rubin is a surgeon who could literally have practiced anywhere, but he chose Crockett Hospital. He has several personal and professional ties to Tennessee so according to him, ‘he’s coming home’.” said Crockett CEO, Jeff Noblin.
Dr. Rubin obtained his medical degree at Southern Illinois University. He completed his orthopedic residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is a Board Certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. After seven years in private practice in middle Tennessee, Dr. Rubin returned to Vanderbilt Medical Center as an Assistant Professor for the Department of Orthopedics.
As a surgeon, Dr. Rubin offers a wide spectrum of orthopedic surgical services including but not limited to trauma and the treatment of sports injuries including arthroscopic surgery.
After living in middle Tennessee from 1982-2000, Dr. Rubin and his family are excited to be returning to the area to make their home. His orthopedic surgery practice will open in Lawrenceburg in July. Dr. Rubin and his wife Elisa have three children. He enjoys running, water skiing, and snowboarding.
